FOCOL Junior Tennis Tournament – October 2012
Once again, Godfrey ( Gully ) Bowe is indebted to Freeport Oil Company Limited (FOCOL) for their continued commitment to the development of junior tennis in The Bahamas. FOCOL maintains their dedication to the empowerment of our young people through their sponsorship of this annual event.
Though severe thunderstorms threatened the start of the FOCOL Junior Tennis Tournament, junior players from Grand Bahama, Eleuthera and Nassau were given the opportunity to vie for the championships. Quite a number of young players fought rigorously to demonstrate their tennis prowess and emerge victorious.
Tournament director, Godfrey “Gully” Bowe noted that this Tournament saw many new budding juniors from Nassau and Eleuthera.
